Tiny form factor
Seeming that cases for the iPhones and iPads have started going in the direction of not caring if you would like to use third-party charging/docking accessories, an adapter for this now exists. CableJive has released their dockStubz. It serves as an adapter from your tight cutout dock port to a much wider and more forgiving port. Although it is important to note that it did not fit the Apple Bumper or few other bumper style cases I had lying around.
Fits most cases except few bumper style cases.
Besides that, it also includes charge conversion to enable usage of your old firewire accessories for charging. The dockStubz also features a mini USB port which i found very fascinating and useful. This means by using this adapter you could charge your iPhone or iPad with a simple mini USB cable.
Mini USB is very useful and makes this adapter unique .
I suppose, as the world is moving to make micro USB the norm, this adapter would suffer. For now, its worth its USD 22.95 price tag. CableJive also has many other similar adapters that could be useful for you especially if you use many of third-party accessories.
